Oak Alley Rv Resort is in between two substantial north-south Rails-to-Trails bike trails: the Withlacoochee, and Van Fleet. Rails-to-Trails is where old railroad beds we’re turned into beautiful, flat trails, usually paved, and have few street crossings.

The trailhead parking is behind the Shamrock Inn. There is a bike shop at the corner of Orange Ave and SH 41. For a short ride, you can head 7.4 miles north to Inverness, stop for a bite at the Pine Street Pub.
For a longer ride, 12 miles one way, head up to Hernando, where you can eat at the historic Burger Station. Bring a picnic, and stop at one of the picnic tables, or take a side trip into Ft. cooper State Park (small fee).
